I’m very sick with a respiratory infection. I have filled a 50 liter trash bag just with used tissues. The skin under my nose is so rough you could grate cheddar on it. I’m exhausted. But at least I’m not running for my life from a hellish fire and facing losing all I own.

The first vote I ever cast was in 1980 and it was for Jimmy Carter. I’ll always be proud of that because it meant I voted for someone who found value and dignity in all humans and I wanted to support that. Thank you, Jimmy Carter for your life of service to all.

This attack on #Magdeburg didn’t just happen in my German hometown. This happened in my neighborhood One block over. It’s where I live and work and shop and I love my neighborhood. It’s the neighborhood where my late husband grew up. When I walk to my MIL’s home, the market square the route I take.🧵

Best reason to go to pharmacies in Germany this time of year: buy even just OTC meds and you’ll often get some sort of little gift. Some of my fave tree ornaments came from my pharmacy.

About to start night 6 of a 7 night work week. After that I’ll have off at least 4 and very possibly 7 nights in a row. Tough getting there, but worth it to me to do it on occasion. If you didn’t always need to work M-F would you work through a whole week to have off a whole week?
