I remember this from when I worked at an agency where employees were activated through incident command during an outbreak of measles. Both fascinating and terrifying.
A thing I wish more people knew is that measles is basically the most contagious disease in the world

I'm hearing now that *every* technologist CFPB hired to investigate Big Tech was fired this evening. That's somewhere between 70-100 people.

This has been a wild week, with way more news coming out of the new administration than anyone can follow.

And that's likely by design. Here's some of the biggest things that happened this week.

Hell yeah. Hold the line. This is what we need people to do.

Slow things down, don’t comply in advance so the courts have time to stop them. It’s starting to work.
Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

As a casual non-white observer, it’s so bizarre to see folks work so hard to try to prove their superiority over someone like me when they could spend that time actually bettering their own lives and…I don’t know, be happy instead of miserable fucks.

Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare.

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

But has he reversed his decision to use more funding cuts everywhere to make up the budget deficit, instead of the wealth tax like Inslee had proposed? A wealth tax is appropriate in a state with some of the highest levels of regressive taxation.

“Mt McKinley” is Denali’s dead-name. The only time it’s okay to dead-name is Twitter.
It’s official: In the USA The Gulf of Mexico is now the “Gulf of America,” and Denali, the Alaska Native name for North America’s tallest peak, has been reverted to Mount McKinley. But we refuse to accept this change—Denali will always be Denali to us. #IStandWithDenali

Trump has deployed active military to help round up migrants and put them into detention camps.

The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years.

History is repeating. Pay attention.
