Interesting read. #pennies

"No one is coming to collect all the useless pennies. And no one is explaining how to get along without them. The government, in other words, is treating the pennies the way it has for decades: by making them Americans’ problem."
Pennies Are Trash Now
The government has no plan for America’s 300 billion pennies.

The passing of #ToddSnider hits hard. He's always been a favorite here in #Tampa and beyond. If the afterlife is a reality, hope he's reunited with Buffet, John Prine and so many others that respected him and whom Todd respected.
Americana troubadour Todd Snider, alt-country singer-songwriter, dies at 59
Known for his cosmic-stoner songwriting and freewheeling tunes, Todd Snider's career spanned three decades.

#tariffs
So let me get this straight: The President’s plan to lower prices is to roll back some of his own tariffs?

What a beautiful thing.

"What started as a group of passionate cyclists in 1984 providing aid bicycles to people in the Global South now has a double-sided mission: Bolstering international aid while building economic resilience among marginalized youth in Boston."

I miss a president and administration that respects Americans and all humans. This is despiciable.

#homelandsecurity #disrespect
Yikes 😬 an official U.S. government account just referred to Americans as “imbecilic morons.” That’s… a choice.

This #telescope fish is fascinating .

#Ilovenature
the telescope fish glides, its eyes like haunted lanterns bulging from its skull. Translucent, ghostly, it drifts through the midnight zone, 6,000 feet below, where pressure crushes bones to whispers. Its gaze, unnaturally forward, locks onto fleeting shadows—prey or phantoms, who can say?

Not a fan of #Starbucks for several reasons, including this. I do love coffee though. A lot. 💫
Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX
