Fourteen weeks of Facilitated Conversations with Kim Crayton – Mediocre did more than challenge six white men to confront their conditioning. It fundamentally reshaped how I approach my work as a business advisor guided by the Profit Without Oppression (PWO) principles:

For the past 14 weeks, I’ve been guiding a cohort of you through Mediocre: The Dangerous Legacy of White Male America by Ijeoma Oluo. What started as a reading assignment quickly revealed something unmistakable:

You have been expected to give what you were never taught to have.

We held the final session of Facilitated Conversations with Kim Crayton yesterday, and there are some things I want to share.

First, I want to thank the six white men who showed up week after week, for 14 straight weeks, and engaged honestly with this work. What we created together wasn’t static.

MTG could finish her term.
She could use her remaining time in office to demonstrate this supposed “change of heart.”
She could begin the long process of repairing the harm she’s inflicted.
And she could simply choose not to run for reelection.

PSA:
The myth of white supremacy has many of you convinced that those of us excluded from, and harmed by, the systems, institutions, and policies designed for your benefit are sitting around angry, resentful, and plotting revenge.

When I try to explain Life Beyond The Supremacy Myth to anyone other than white men, the reaction is almost always the same: disbelief, cynicism, and a whole lot of side-eye.

Comments like, “I hope you’re taking care of yourself… it’s important, but lawd,” are standard.

The PWO Community began with a simple but urgent question:

What if white men could be taught the skills, habits, and practices they were never given, the ones necessary to stop causing harm and start building a better world?

One of the most liberating truths I’ve learned, and the one that white folx, particularly white men, still struggle to face, is this:

The myth of white supremacy explains your behavior.
It does not, and has never, determined my value.

2025 has not been a good year for white men in hip hop spaces. Over and over, they continue to show exactly what Mediocre names: the parasitic nature of the myth of white male supremacy.

We see the same pattern Oluo outlines, white men stepping into spaces built from the survival strategies,

Scott Galloway’s new book, Notes on Being a Man, leans on the same familiar framework: provider, protector, procreator. On the surface, it reads like advice for men, but dig deeper, and it’s far more insidious. This isn’t guidance. It’s a reinforcement of the myth of white male supremacy,

If you’ve read White Women, Get Ready, you already understand one of Amanda K. Gross’s core truths:
Whiteness, particularly white womanhood, relies on the fantasy of endless redemption.

It’s baked into Post-Traumatic Mistress Syndrome:

As we move into the final virtual session of the 14-week Facilitated Conversations with Kim Crayton – Mediocre cohort, one insight has hit me harder than almost anything else:

the near-total absence of Joy, Play, Pleasure, and Passion in the lives of white men…
November 17, 2025 at 10:02 AM
The myth of white supremacy has sold you a life of anxiety, doubt, and ongoing fear—packaged as masculinity. It encourages you to build a lived experience of feeling trapped and then has the audacity to call that “freedom.”

MTG’s apology has to be understood through the lens of what’s actually happening:
the parasite of the myth of white supremacy is finally beginning to devour its host.

This clash, white supremacists turning against each other, was always inevitable.
November 16, 2025 at 4:17 PM
I’ve spent the past few months watching white media, traditional and independent, twist itself into knots trying to “explain” the fracturing happening within the right-wing coalition. And the unfortunate truth is this: nothing has changed.
November 16, 2025 at 10:22 AM
One of the least acknowledged consequences of the myth of white supremacy is the deep cynicism it breeds in all of us.

And I don’t mean discernment.
I don’t mean healthy boundaries.
I don’t mean strategic awareness.

I mean cynicism:

There’s a truth I need you to sit with:

White male loneliness isn’t a crisis because it’s new.
It’s a crisis because it’s finally being named.

For generations, white men have been conditioned by the myth of white male supremacy to disconnect from their own humanity.
November 15, 2025 at 12:49 PM
One thing that I suspected, from working with my white male business advising clients, and that has now been confirmed in the Facilitated Conversations with Kim Crayton – Mediocre sessions is this truth: white male loneliness is not new.

So much of navigating professional spaces as a Black woman requires an ongoing conversation with yourself. A constant reminder that you know what you know, that you deserve what you ask for, and that your presence in spaces designed against you matters.
November 13, 2025 at 9:50 PM
There’s a moment in nearly every conversation about equity when the myth shows up.
You know the one.

The myth of “hard work,” “personal responsibility,” and “deservingness.”
The myth that says if someone is hungry, it’s their fault.
November 12, 2025 at 10:25 PM
I want to talk about something that came up during one of the Facilitated Conversations with Kim Crayton — Mediocre sessions.

It’s a conversation I haven’t seen others have publicly because it’s risky.

It requires care, compassion, and precision.

And even then, someone may be harmed.

I just saw a YouTube video titled “How White Supremacy Hijacked Christianity.”

And without even watching it, I already disagree.

White supremacy didn’t hijack Christianity.
Christianity, as practiced in the United States, is white supremacy.

One thing that became clear to me yesterday is that choosing to live by the principles of a supremacy-, coercion-, discrimination-, and exploitation-free worldview comes with a cost that too few people talk about honestly.

You will lose people.
November 10, 2025 at 10:38 PM
Today reminded me that I still have work to do.

I attended a professional/friend event and if you know me, you know how rare that is. Rare enough that when I show up, people are genuinely surprised.

Your isolation is not accidental. It’s intentional.

A client of mine recently attended two international tech conferences and reached out to share his experience.

The first, he said, was “status quo white dudes and a handful of women.” The second, Mozilla Festival, felt completely different:
