Taking a much needed social media break. The last year of health issues plus the Orange One are taking a huge toll on me. I was originally going to try and stay on here but it's just doomscrolling. I have messenger if anyone needs to talk.

I am begging Democratic lawmakers to stop solely pointing out the obvious problems and start publicly talking about how to address them.

We know our democracy is unstable and unhealthy. What are you gonna do about it?

Cease the platitudes and broad statements. Get specific and talk about actions.

Democratic lawmakers need to understand something:

Imagine your house is on fire. Fire truck shows up. Firefighters get out. They look at the fire, then at you, and say: "Such a fire is a grave threat. This house will not sustain."

And just stand there.

This is how many of you are coming across.

For a party that talks constantly about power and masculinity, there’s an awful lot of groveling happening by House GOP at the foot of the president. You have given away ALL your leverage and the voices of your constituents. Americans will suffer because of it.

Has Trump lowered the price of groceries? No. Instead, he's focused on renaming the Gulf of Mexico.

Today, my colleagues and I gave him a list of things he could do right now to start to lower the prices of eggs.

Trump is trying to bully our allies Canada, Colombia, Denmark, and Panama, threatening tariffs if they don't do what he says.

Really?

What about imposing tariffs on drug companies that charge us 10 times more than other countries pay for the same drug?

I love my Rep.
So many of us are looking for actions to take to protect our democracy in the face of Trump. We don’t know where to start. Here’s one thing you can do right now.

Trump said he wants to “clean out” Gaza and push the millions of Palestinians living there into neighboring countries.

There is a name for this — ethnic cleansing — and it’s a war crime.

This outrageous idea should be condemned by every American.

To survive Trump, the labor movement is going to need to be stronger than ever. Whenever you get the opportunity, stand with unions and with workers' rights.

Fanny Willis was removed from a case for a consensual romance with a coworker. Pete Hegseth is now SecDef despite both his mother and sister-in-law giving testimony that he is sexually abusive. Well thank God we’re free from the burden of unjustly preferential treatment based on gender and race now.

Trump’s cruel and chaotic immigration policies don’t lead to better enforcement — they just lead to disorder, fear, and confusion.

Fewer farmworkers across the US will also devastate our economy, meaning higher grocery bills for American families. www.nbclosangeles.com/news/nationa...

Hi everyone. Yes, it's been an incredibly exhausting week with cruel executive order after cruel executive order. We know there's no bottom to the cruelty. We have to turn from shock and awe, to focus and solidarity.

Take of yourselves and one another. We've got a lot of work to do.
