I may come across as a Luddite. There are many advancements that I see as being beneficial, when managed with the the big picture in mind.

I owe my life to western medicine as they put my body back together again after a car accident.

Electricity. How did we live without it?

We have been programmed into insatiable consumerism. We've been shaped so that we think of gaining more . . . and more . . . and more. Whether we need it, or not, whether we already have enough, or not.

The water in the Colorado river is dwindling. States are now fighting tooth and nail to gain as much water as possible for their state. Populations in the western U.S. are growing while we've existed in extreme drought for a quarter of a century.

It is possible to turn conditions around.

I find this remarkable, and commendable. Utah becoming so conservative that it has shielded factory farms, supported Trump, and so many other far-right actions, including ignoring citizens votes to end gerrymandering and create balanced maps. This state can be so confusing in the way it legislates.
Utah has repealed a law that barred public unions from negotiating on behalf of their members.

Republican Gov. Spencer Cox approved the rollback of one of the most anti-union laws in the country after thousands of union members rallied outside his office for a week.

If someone were ambitious enough to write a book on *all* the ways that our current societies are destroying the planet and killing off life on this planet, it would be a massive tome. What is behind a significantly large portion of these harms/damages lies large corporations who place profits . . .

I'm thinking of Starbucks employees striking. In truth, the power really does lie in the individuals, the citizens that exist in this world. Unite enough of us in any cause and we become an unstoppable force. This is why we are programmed from a young age to remain passive sheep. #wehavethepower

I love watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on this day. The parade so full of commoyshalism. Then I follow it up with the original 'Miracle on 34th Street' based around the same annual parade, highlighting a lesson against commoyshalism.

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now.

I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system.

It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.

Santa Fe is now the first city to tie the minimum wage to the cost of rent.

The Santa Fe City Council voted to raise its minimum wage from $15/hr to $17.50 by 2027 — but they also added another provision.

Future increases will factor in inflation, and the price of housing.

I'm old enough to have known several people who contracted polio as children. It is a brutal illness. It devastates lives and leads to lifelong pain and suffering. To have this so easily dismissed is appalling, frightening, discouraging.
