“No one cares about your method” is one of the most insane things I’ve read in academia.
I've never seen this figure or sentiment before. But it makes me want to vomit. The intro and discussion are the least important parts of the paper. Methods rule. Results are meaningless without clear and logical methods. If a mentor suggests this, find a better mentor.

Search really is dead.“dey [sic] tinder effect Sweden” (I’m writing about Swedish Covid mortality) returned AI results about the tinder dating app. The misspelling of “dry” of course threw the algorithm, but considering this was a massive debate in the literature, I’d expect better returns…
