Cold west winds triggering a heavy snow squall along Fundy and north shores NS. Will weaken & move a bit inland this aftn.
Otherwise fine sun-cloud mix.
A weak band mixed precip Sat night-Sunday am (no pic).
A system passing south of NS brings snow (5-10cm?) Sunday night to southern Maritimes.

The heavy rain should ease off in eastern NS and end in most other areas for the 11am Remembrance Day ceremonies.
Rain will return to the eastern half of the Maritimes by evening & end overnight.
Flurries will develop in chilly west winds before dawn; a coating on elevated roads? Clearing follows.

In case there is any confusion, while Hallowe’en decorations are at risk during the rain and wind, I am suggesting fine weather for trick & treating for much of the Maritimes. PEI & E Mainland remains iffy at first, but ok after 7pm. CB improves after 8-9pm. See pics on previous post
Fine day ahead. A band of rain at times heavy crosses the Maritimes on Halloween. Heaviest rain (60+mm) parts Atlantic coast with SE gusts 60-80km/h.
The rain ends, wind briefly subsides, and temps remain mild over much NB, central(HFX), & W NS for trick & treating; then a bit later further N & E.

6am: at YHZ... departing to Jays-land just ahead of the heavy rain. This rain & strong winds move across the region today. While decorations need to be secured, the early evening trick-treating should be fine (mild, OK wind, rain ending) for much of NB, Mainland NS & PEI. CB improves later in eve.

Hurricane Erin has rapidly intensified (RI) over the past 24 hours, incredibly now approaching a Category 5.
Impact on Maritimes most likely high swell and hazardous surf later in the week.
Just an incredible explosive RI event with #Erin overnight. The pressure has fallen roughly 75 mb in 24 hours and has gone from a TS to category 4 during that time . 💣
