I finished “The Chile Project” by Sebastian Edwards. I found it a good read but have plenty of issues with it. The author stated that he wanted to be as fair as possible and in doing that he isn’t as critical as he should’ve been.

I signed up for the Disney bundle (again) so my father can watch college basketball games that don’t air on cable.

I will be using the bundle to re-watch Andor.

I go back and forth on the cult of Abel Ferrara. At one point, he was the guy for gritty NYC crime films. The pinnacle was of that time was “Bad Lieutenant” and “King of New York.” I honestly think his best film is “The Addiction” from 1995. Now…

This reminds me of a conversation I had with doctor while ago. She said, “I would’ve liked to set up my own practice but it’s really expensive with rent, salaries, and all the admin costs. Plus I still have to pay off my med school debt.”

This is a serious headline from the paper of record the New York Times. The article itself is a wishy washy contrarian piece that any serious publisher should’ve rejected because the ICE agent killed her in cold blood.

This country has always preached lofty goals and has tried to live up to them at times but for much of American history it has failed. I see what's happening now with the gov terrorizing people and how many are applauding it and I have to say that we are lost and in an abyss.

A strange, surreal, and meandering tale through LA. I enjoyed it.

A bunch of spineless nits.

ICE executed a woman in cold blood and instead of making a moral stand Dem leaders are just rolling over. This is why they lose elections because leaders like this can’t even take a position.

I rewatched Paul Thomas Anderson's 1997 film Boogie Nights. Still a good movie, a bit manic, and definitely an early work. I started thinking of that generation of directors, Anderson is probably the only one that's grown artistically and hasn't made the same film twice.
