Majority of Catholics find “traditional Catholics” to be quite annoying and almost all of them go through all this pageantry but don’t volunteer or do good works. Catholicism requires both and good works. It’s not Protestantism where faith alone saves you.

Lately I’ve been thinking about the celebrity to rightwinger pipeline. Trying to understand it. Seems like a quick way for washed up or serious flawed celebrities to “reinvent” themselves with a new base.

Using as an excuse for layoffs is a smokescreen. It’s likely a mix of cooling consumer spending and following the latest Wall Street fade of reducing headcount to make the margins look better.

If works stops on the Gateway Tunnel then the contractors have to be paid to demobilize and when work restarts they have to get paid to remobilize. Unnecessary millions would be lost for no good reason, but that’s what the administration wants to do.

Last night, I watched "Vigilante" from 1982. It's a "Death Wish" knockoff. Very basic plot, gritty, low budget, campy, and surprisingly enjoyable.

I finished “The Chile Project” by Sebastian Edwards. I found it a good read but have plenty of issues with it. The author stated that he wanted to be as fair as possible and in doing that he isn’t as critical as he should’ve been.
