It is fundamental for schools to manage their use of AI in a safe, timely and evidence-informed manner. For this they need to be fully supported by the Government.

Across all schools, we found that AI tools were most widely used by teachers for lesson planning and prep (44%).

But private school teachers are more likely to have integrated AI across different aspects of their work, potentially reaping more of its benefits

Using the IFS tool here: ifs.org.uk/calculators/... it is interesting to compare pre-pandemic (2019) EHCPs with now - a change from purple to green or yellow represents a doubling of EHCPs:

Why accept that 'writing results are now where they should have been all along'? The evidence suggests teachers are less satisfied with pupils' writing than they were pre-pandemic?

Maybe, progress is being made in making up lost learning but there is still some way to go?
