"Enjoyed" is the wrong word to use of this novel as it's deeply disturbing and not for the faint-hearted. It is thought-provoking though. I was fascinated by the description of Earthseed spirituality, in which god is change and can be shaped. Merry was too 😊. #booksky #catsofbluesky #readersky 🪐📚💙

A lot of students can't decide whether to take the #IELTS or the #Cambridgeenglish exam. This useful article explains the difference between the two. One big difference is IELTS expires after two years whereas you have your #Cambridgecertificate for ever.

Interesting post from Lisa W. Have you ever used #Duolingo or other #languagelearningapps? What were your experiences?
I have yet to meet anyone who has made any significant progress in learning a language using Duolingo, and I've met a lot of people that use it with really long streaks.

I'm learning Afrikaans and noticed this similarity with Old English #germaniclanguages #oldenglish #historyofenglish
Die band met Afrikaans is so duidelik.
When an Old English infinitive was used with 'to', its form changed:

- Iċ sċeal ETAN (I shall EAT)
- Iċ begann tō ETENNE (I began to EAT)

This was its dative case.

Yes, even infinitives had case back then!

Frisian still does this:
- Ik sil ITE
- Ik begûn te ITEN
