Which is a kind of interesting lesson. Because no matter how mundane your life seems, you truly never know what is going to be remembered of you in hundreds or even thousands of years. You have no idea what impact your life will have on history ultimately. Just do your best & be kind I guess.

Then his tomb was rediscovered nearly intact (it had been robbed a couple times in antiquity but had been re-sealed & most of the funerary goods were still intact). And suddenly EVERYONE knew his name again. The discovery was broadcast around the Western world. We’ve never stopped being obsessed

Funny thing is, Tut was a pretty nothing-burger of Royalty in his day. He ruled a very short time, died young, and without heirs, leading to the end of his dynasty shortly afterwards. He had no notable exploits in his lifetime either. History basically forgot about him. Until 1922.
