I’m tired of being fucking poor while working a middle class job. I busted my ass to get educated very well so I could be comfortable for life. And it was all a fucking lie. I have never once in my adult life lived comfortably not relying on friends and family to cover the lean bits.

Having big feelings about being poor and barely scraping by tonight. I’m tired of scraping by on the kindness of strangers. Buying the condo was supposed to help, but now my overall house bills are higher & I don’t know what to do. Meanwhile everything gets astronomically more expensive every month

My baby Binghe just underwent a protracted coughing hacking fit very similar to Yuan’s but even more drawn out. I really cannot afford to have another cat with asthma. Especially since I’m already treating environmental for Yuan. Why must my babies always be the ones with the worst health??

Anyway. I hope you’re all voting today. I voted on Friday since I knew I wouldn’t have the opportunity today. All that was on our ballot this year was returning our local utilities to local control from state control. Which is big for us locally. Maybe you have something locally life changing too

One of my special interests is Ancient Egypt, particularly the New Kingdom. Today is the 103rd anniversary of the discovery of probably THE most famous tomb of Egyptian Royalty (maybe second most famous, hard to decide if Giza’s Great Pyramid is more famous). King Tutankhamun.

Out on patrol. ICE very active on the far North Side including Edgewater and Lincoln Square. Multiple abductions. Vulnerable folks should get off the street if they can. Street vendors should be bought out, landscapers warned. If you’re in Chicago and you’re not ICE watch trained, pls get trained.
