Turkey update! I knew going in to getting poults that turkeys are pretty dumb. I did not know how determined to kill themselves they were. I also didn't know how charming and curious turkeys are. These are all destined for Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners, but i think want to get heritage breeds

I've always wanted to do a full sleeve tattoo for my right arm but nothing ever clicked. But I just thought of doing something dinotopia themed and that really felt right so I think designing that is going to be my next obsession

The cat has been hiding all day, to the point where I was concerned that he may have gotten out or stuck in the basement. Can't find him anywhere, doesn't even come out when I have treats. The second I say "hey, it's garbage night, I'll clean the litter box" he appears to leave one last stinky shit

Oh boy the joys of farm dogs.... I'm out putting everyone away for the night and see Athena delightedly rolling on the ground, jumping up, sniffing the area and then rolling all over it again. Go to see what the hell she's found, some kind of black muck. It's probably poop. At least she look happy.

Caught a criminal in the chicken coop yesterday. He was eating eggs. Safely relocated to a forest far enough away he shouldn't come back, I don't mind losing a few eggs but the young chickens will be in the coop soon and skunks can be dangerous to little guys.

First four babies out of the incubator now that they're all dry. There's still quite a few pipped eggs, but these four were busy playing soccer with their siblings

I'm rewatching Golden Girls because it's good and there's an episode where they volunteer at a food kitchen. They're talking about how people are only a paycheck or two away from disaster and that rent is high and minimum wage is stagnant. This was the 80's, how are these still the fckn problems
