Born and raised Vancouver, but loving my life in Manitoba. President of Providence University College. Sports, music, faith, culture - not in any particular order.
I couldn’t agree more. Just awesome that the guy who created Walter White is saying this.

We probably need to show more understanding for what this generation has had to deal with.
dunno why everyone is worried about the youth, having your early teen years during the video social media surge, your main teen years during the pandemic and your first few years of university during the ai explosion seems like a winning combo

Ed's latest article in @usatoday.com:

"It's not time to call this a revival, but something is stirring in the culture. Christians would do well to pay attention, live out their faith and step into the opportunity to share with others."

Pls share.

Can I interrupt your feed for just a moment to say #ISupportProv. Today is our annual day of giving at Providence University College and Theological Seminary. I made my donation in support of our students and this school we love. I’d encourage you to consider doing the same! www.prov.ca

Thanks to the Severance writers for pointing out the irony inherent in the word “monosyllabic.”

Not super proud to be a hockey fan right now. Aggressive nationalism gives me the chills wherever I encounter it. Oh well, I suppose a proxy war on ice is better than a real one on the ground.

4 Nations living up to the hype tonight, but as a Canadian and a Canucks fan, I’m having a hard time cheering for McDavid, Marchand, Marner….

Big if true.

Can’t believe how much time I’ve saved since switching to Bluesky. It’s not that I’m not getting content. It’s just that I don’t have to wade through so much trash.

Hard to believe that we are half way through the decade and a quarter of the way through the century. Happy New Year, everyone.

Way to go, team!
Fun fact: Providence BTS faculty have essays in three new volumes in this series! (Stranger Things, The Office, and Ted Lasso)

I entered this weekend pretty ambivalent about Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc. Little did I know. Some of these deals were too good to pass by.

And so ends an amazing week of vacation.

I’ve never seen the appeal of trolling. I get it’s a way of trying to get a rise out of problematic people, but it is seldom understood by its targets and it appeals to the worst in those it entertains. Maybe trolling is a feature of that other platform and #bluesky will appeal to our better nature.

Feeling it for my Blue Bombers friends. Can’t get my head around the fact that the Argos have won more than three times the Grey Cups than my Lions. Almost five times as many as the Riders. And Toronto still can’t draw fans. #cfl

Bluesky seems pretty great now that everyone is showing up. Love the no algorithm, no ads thing. Just one request: could you please give us a proper iPad app? @bsky.app

The only concern I have about this mass move to Bluesky is that it probably pushes the divide in public discourse even further. When people aren’t hearing each other things get worse. Of course, I’m just as tired of the nonsense over on X as anyone else.

Not sure I can post on every platform but after a long wait it looks like Bluesky might be winning against the others. Let’s enjoy this before this one gets spoiled too.

Not just a couple of randos in Canuck jersey’s. Actually Nils Hoglander and Teddy Blueger, after signing autographs at Rogers Arena yesterday. #canucks

After three flights and four airports, nice of the Super Bowl to go into overtime just about the time I arrive in my hotel room so I didn’t miss the entire thing.

Can it be baseball season already?

Feel strangely honoured by this invitation to join Bluesky. So far I’m liking the setup. Let’s see what happens when they open it up to wider engagement.
