While out bushwalking I spotted several echidnas all within about 1km of track. While not an echidna "train", I suspect one had or was about to occur. I've not seen so many in close proximity before.

Oak treehoppers have my whole heart. These photos show the difference in size between mamas and their offspring at varying instars. I love them so much. 💛 Mamas stay with their babies throughout their development, protecting them from predators like wasps. Unusual behavior for a bug.

A Mossy Bug-eyed Frog (Theloderma corticale) from Cuc Phuong NP in northern Vietnam. This cutie was perched in a bush, right where a stream crossed the mountain trail we were hiking one night. Probably the highlight of my short stay in Vietnam. #frogfriday #frogs #herps
A treefrog clings to a branch, giving us a side profile. The frog has warts and bumps covering its body, head, and limbs. It has the flattened discs on the ends of its toes and fingers, typical of treefrogs and useful for climbing and clinging.
