Five queries have been submitted for BB&B as of this morning! Then I spent a bit of time researching additional agents to add to the potential querying list.
I do think my anxiety over it is getting better, but we’ll see if that changes when I do another batch of them next week 😅

A little writing update since it’s been a minute. I’ve been working on two projects the last month or so, a contemporary romance and an epic fantasy with dragons 🧵I’m writing the romance as first-person present, from both the FMC and the MMC perspective.(1/?)

My brain has been weird (tired? Bored? Burnout?) about working on Phoenix for the last week ish, so I’ve been outlining another project and honestly it was a great idea to pivot to something new for a while

After starting the week slowly in terms of word count, I finished the week with another ~7k written since Monday. In total, the newest draft of Phoenix is now sitting just over 30k and I’ve begun drafting part two 😌

I’m 3 weeks into the new draft of Phoenix and nearly 23k in. This version has threads from past drafts, of course, but the plot has definitely shifted in a way that has me feeling very excited 😁

Falling back in love with the characters and world of Phoenix as I work on this latest draft feels amazing. I’ve never been so glad to have set a project aside not knowing if or when I’d come back to it 😌

Hit 15k on the new draft of Phoenix today. After taking months off and away from this project, it feels amazing to be back working on this latest draft.

Slowly regaining my grove with writing by working on a novella over the last two weeks. I’ve averaged 1000+ words each writing day on this project so far and enjoying every bit of it 😌

Had a dream that I had to write two full length novels in a six week span for two separate classes (one for each).
Woke up and had to remind myself I’ve been out of school for almost 8 years now & that I’m not even on any kind of deadline right now 😂

This is how writing goes. Yesterday I hit almost 3k words. Today I’m struggling to reach 500. It happens and that’s okay.

Wrote almost 3k today for the ongoing project, for a total of 24k overall.
The plot is still coming to me in pieces as I go, but that’s what a first draft is about - figuring out what story I’m trying to write.
In any case, I’m loving the story that is starting to emerge 🩵
