I mean, to be fair I think it has a narrow focus. If you want to have more than one person working on a document simultaneously, it’s great—it does that one thing really well. But if you want to make a document look really polished…well, no word processor is good, but Google’s is extra frustrating.

Another vote here for LibreOffice—it looks/feels kinda retro, but works pretty well and has tons of great features.

Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) is an option too and probably the best one if you have to collaborate, but compared against Microsoft Office it’s hot garbage.
