We know Trump’s anti-trans executive action is creating fear, confusion, and chaos for so many in our community.

Here is what we know about federal identity documents as of Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. We will continue to provide updates from our experts as more information is released.

Sports teach our kids teamwork, create a sense of belonging, & help youth grow into well-rounded adults. We should want more kids to play sports, not put up more barriers.

We deserve leaders who prioritize fixing our country’s problems instead of launching attacks on trans kids. hrc.im/nosportsban

“Not only does Pete Hegseth have ridiculous beliefs about women being unfit for combat, he also has been accused of sexual assault and threatened retaliation. We must make it clear to the Senate: he is a dangerous and unacceptable choice to lead our military.” - NWLC

“Trump's nominee for the Department of Defense is unacceptable. Pete Hegseth has a history of misogynistic and anti-LGBTQI comments, sexual assault allegations, and alarming mismanagement of two veterans’ organizations---all which should be immediately disqualifying.” - NWLC

Great bipartisan legislation idea for the new congress:

Pass universal free breakfast and lunch in public schools.

It would cost less than one percent of what the federal government spends on education.

No hungry kids. No stigma. Higher morale. Better grades.

It's a no-brainer.

The defense bill that has been hijacked to take healthcare away from trans kids in military families is lined up for a vote in the U.S. House tomorrow, after a party-line committee vote today.

Meanwhile, almost 300 groups have come out in opposition to this cruel provision in a letter to lawmakers.

The final negotiated NDAA text is out — it would prevent Tricare, the military’s health program, from covering gender-affirming medical care for minors.

NEWS: House Republicans have added a provision into the NDAA that would strip necessary health care from the trans kids of service members. These decisions belong with doctors, parents, and nobody else.

Last year, they tried to add 50+ anti-LGBTQ+ riders and were defeated.

I had a lot of feelings today. I haven't yet managed to wrangle most of them into anything approximating language

But it felt awesome, in the old sense of the word, to be part of such a massive crowd that showed up to support trans kids across this country today

I'll remember that part forever

"If a woman doesn't look woman enough to a Republican, they want to be able to inspect your genitals to use a bathroom? It's disgusting.

Everyone should reject it completely... they're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross." - AOC

The actions of Mike Johnson’s new bathroom policy at the Capitol is dehumanizing and cruel. And it’s not just about a new trans member. It’s about trans Capitol staff, visitors, and the message it send to trans people across the country. Trans people are scared, angry, and we should fight for them.

Sarah McBride has the character and discipline to keep focused on the needs of her constituents. She sees petty and cruel distractions for what they are: small and sad.

But I do feel bad for Nancy Mace, so desperate for attention that she resorts to policing how others pee.
