This sounds like a bit but I’m being serious: kids using chat gpt for their homework are denying themselves the invaluable experience of learning how to bullshit their way through a problem. You drink some caffeine the night before and figure it the fuck out. That’s a skill. You need it in life.

absolutely embarrassing and contemptible behavior from our club here. @stlcitysc.com i dont have words for how pathetic this is.
Update: I was kicked out of Energizer Park. Season ticket holder for 3 years.
FYI, the security at @stlcitysc.com took away some No Kings signs. Coward move. As a season ticket holder I’m tremendously disappointed

Every day, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in St. Louis serve hundreds of community members who rely on Medicaid, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or both. These are families —

Uhh, yeah. I’ve been volunteering doing tree removal in north St. Louis.

Here is just one scene. It’s repeated block after block for miles.

The tornado was at least a mile wide where I am working.

The impact of this storm will be felt throughout the area for years to come.

It’s been a hard weekend, the damage and loss of life has left a lasting scar, especially as historically underfunded neighborhoods were the ones hit the hardest.

Too many families are still without power and water.
It’s been more than 48 hours since a tornado touched down in Clayton and tore a path of destruction at least 8 miles long, causing at least $1 billion in property damage.

Here is the latest information we have on the storm’s impact:
At least $1B in damage, 4,400 buildings impacted: the latest numbers from Friday’s tornado
The EF-3 tornado caused at least $1 billion in damage in the city of St. Louis alone.

really really embarrassing watching some people defend the tornado sirens failing to go off as “not a big deal”

If that tornado tore through the south side, you’d be pissed about the sirens failing.

The St Louis tornado alarm system did not go off yesterday when we actually got hit with a tornado. We need a mayor that takes care of basic services not Cara Spencer who spends her time at Blues games and making videos of herself on bicycles. Stop campaigning Cara and do your job or resign

ai sucks

it only sucks

any measurable “use” it seems to have is immediately and entirely outweighed by how much it sucks and kills the planet and the people on it

ai sucks, and the people who understand the damage yet still somehow delight in it also suck

plus it’s bad at everything

Absolutely begging libs to stop spreading these absurd "ICE agents are really militia members" conspiracy theories. It makes you look profoundly stupid, *and* it's a really great way to avoid confronting the reality of American policing. This is what cops are. This is what cops do. Accept it.

Judging an entire city's soccer culture and history based on only what their MLS club does is some kansas level stupidity. On a night when, by the way, an academy kid did play for them.
I think we gotta put a moratorium on all the @stlcitysc.com platitudes about being the hometown of American soccer until they start actually playing some of their Academy kids and not just Bundesliga.2 players.
