There are people across the internet who speak into the ether so naturally and authentically. I admire this and want to be able to do this without getting into my own head about how I will be perceived, which is often a major source of anxiety for me.

My stepmother deadnamed my trans daughter on her Christmas and birthday gifts, and instead of being excited about receiving gifts from loved ones, my daughter is feeling hurt and betrayed. I, too, am feeling disappointed and angry on her behalf. I’m still processing and determining how I’ll respond…
