The only good think to come from being woken at 4.30 by a cat who likes to vigorously clean itself upon your bed whilst leaning on you, is that I've written the day's 1k and now, after work, I will have time to nap.

My next book features a potter, so now I am spending my afternoon becoming an expert on all things pottery. Currently learning where best to install a kiln so as not to burn a building to the ground.

I think my cat has the blood moon zoomies. He's been an absolute menace since 5.30 this morning. Running around. Knocking stuff over. Nearly managed to hiff himself off the deck railing.

Finally found the courage to book a dentist appointment. First time seeing her in three years. She's brilliant, but I can safely say the dental nurses of the 80s did a real number on my terribly-toothed childhood self.

Our local supermarket was so busy that when I hopped in the car the first thing I did was check the news to make sure we weren't entering another pandemic. No pandemic. Just a bunch of folk, me included, getting their Sunday shop on. (And picking up my Smeg cocottes 🙌)

Was preparing to have to "survive" a teen/tweenage sleepover, but ended up having the best time. The girls were beyond delightful. I even got six hours sleep. Best of all - loads of leftover pizza. I won't be cooking for daaaaaays.
