HB 27, the Librarian Protection Act, has passed a cmte vote. The bill mandates public libraries receiving state funding must adopt policy aligning w/ ALA's library bill of rights, prohibiting the removal of books based on partisan or doctrinal disapproval.

Just had this conversation with my husband this morning in regards to TX AG Ken Paxton. He’s suing our school district for a second time for not caving to banning books & allowing students to be who they are. He’s the head law enforcement. Who’s going to stop him? We’ll keep fighting but still.
