UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

Not just 8. That was a caucus maneuver from a party that is, yet again, opposed to its own voters.

Not on this one. Asking for everything on this one is an over reach. We already know Medicare as is works reasonably well as public policy for 67 million people. The strongest argument is to extend it the rest of the way. I'm on it. I know.

"Billy Bush on Trump's lies about 'Apprentice' ratings: 'You just tell them and they believe'"

It's still working, maybe better than ever.

Looks like a caucus decision to me, sending out the best defended caucus members to do what caucus leadership wants done.

I don't need perfect M4A. I need regular M4A now, paid for through our graduated net income tax, and we can improve it from there.

The time for M4A is now. If you're considering voting for a Democrat who doesn't get that, please make it clear you have a problem with that and it could cost them your vote.

They don't care. I would bet everything I own on that proposition.

He's talking to all of the mainstream Democrats who don't know political malpractice when they see it, even when their noses are getting rubbed in it. The correct response is "Bite me!"

Nope. Murphy supports genocide in Israel. That is not the leadership we need.

Time for M4A. I guess that's obvious now. That will mean winning elections by pushing hard for it, ending the filibuster, and growing the SCOTUS by at least 4 rational Justices. Are you up for it?

The only source of agape on the planet.
November 11, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Good. But it was clearly a caucus deal, putting forth well defended caucus members to do what the leadership wanted done. Start pushing for M4A and stop supporting genocide in Israel. Seriously.

He wrote an opinion that a regulation of 1/6 of our economy, the ACA, was not a valid exercise of the Commerce Clause. That is disqualifying ideological extremism.
