Look. I appreciate the human form as much as anyone. But with Amazon shoving "From Old Country Bumpkin..." at me *hard*, I look at the wardrobe on our protagonists, and wonder how it was tapped for US redistribution. 😮💨

The Brothers McCreary had an absolute blast in Massachusetts tonight. I’m stunned Watchtower wasn’t the closer (you can riff that thing for days), but first to last, Bear was so happy and gracious, it was as much a joy to see as hear.

While the new Skeletá album from Ghost hasn’t quite won me over yet, the tracks have the potential to be infinitely more impactful live. “Cenotaph” has the potential to bring goosebumps, and I hope they run that one out for call-and-response. I still need to ruminate on “Excelsis” as the closer.

I imagine Tobias is thrilled to be able to perform without prosthetics obstructing his facial movement once again. The revisitation of the chrome masks are interesting, and the ghoul outfits are a nice draw from the dance troupe that appeared in Rite Here Rite Now. #TheGhostBand #GhostBC (1/2)

Question: can Tobias maintain the arena-packing appeal of the last 3+ years with a stark change in lead persona? Will Papa V Perpetua have the same affability as his predecessor, or are we in for a new (or maybe old) tone from #Ghost? And most importantly: will the Nameless Ghouls have a new look?

They’ve done a fair number of ‘Quangular’ events, but you could feel the depth of depth of connection and degree of heart that the cast, and @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social in particular as our humble NYC tour guide, invested in this one.
