No, Trump won’t move the World Cup out of the Boston area. The games will actually be played in Foxborough, in the stadium owned by Robert Kraft. They’re friends; Trump named Kraft’s wife to the new Kennedy Center board. So, not gonna happen.
"Boston is honored and excited to host World Cup matches, and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to our beautiful city, the cradle of liberty and city of champions."

CRADLE OF LIBERTY
UPDATE: Boston Mayor Michelle Wu issued a statement about the city hosting the World Cup after President Trump threatened to pull games from the city, saying in part that the "mayor is not good." on.nbcboston.com/Ok4szw5

Direct File is an example of a good government service, clear, smart and easy to use. Eliminating it is like a $140 tax increase for American families.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are going after Direct File because it stops giant tax prep companies from ripping taxpayers off for services that should be free.

Americans want a free and easy way to file their taxes — Trump and Musk want to take that away.
Trump administration plans to end the IRS Direct File program for free tax filing, AP sources say
The Trump administration plans to eliminate the IRS’ Direct File program. That's the electronic system for filing tax returns directly to the agency for free.

Saw some graffiti saying “Tesla is the new Hugo Boss” and assumed it might have something to to with, let’s say, adjacency to fascism. AI told me it isn’t true, because the companies make different products.

Not knowing the author’s background, I thought the piece might describe an executive’s slow-burning disillusionment with his employer’s DEI program. And then I read about his exit plan from A-B: starting a firm “with my high school friend Vivek Ramaswamy.” Feels like he was already gone.

To Douthat, Trump and Russ’ friend and hero J..D Vance are facing up to hard truths — they’re just not telling them with finesse. But they’re not “ruthlessly stripping away pretenses.” The reality: They’ve so bought into Putin that they’re throwing away our standing in the world.
