The Perfect Storm

1. The National Weather Service vacancy rate at its Texas offices doubled since Trump took office.

2. Kerr County (which voted 77% for Trump) did not have a warning system because local residents didn’t want to spend the money.

3. Climate change is making this happen more often.

We can block S.394 if Democrats unite in opposition, but they’re not there yet, so make sure your senators hear from you ASAP. 👇

New from me: DOGE just put the entire staff on leave at the federal agency that coordinates US homelessness response.

The agency's new leader is the same DOGE software engineer who now serves as the director of the US Institute for Peace: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

US solar and wind tax credits are at risk.
Not at risk are billions in fossil fuel tax credits and subsidies. Last I checked those were also mature and market proven.

“Wind and solar are no longer emerging technologies — they’re mature, market-proven, and widely deployed,” Julie Fedorchak (R-ND).
Congress proposes bill to phase out solar and wind tax credits
The plan proposes to phase out the investment tax credit and production tax credit for solar and wind while keeping it in place for other technologies.
