Russia was already facing serious challenges for its future as a space power, this might be the final nail in the coffin.
Russia may have just lost its only active launch pad for manned space missions. After today’s launch of Soyuz MS-28 from Baikonur, which sent three crew members to the ISS, the service platform at Launch Pad 31 appears to have been severely damaged by rocket exhaust.
