It’s so obvious at this point that Trump is the chaos. He provokes protest and waits for the least stable, least sympathetic people to do crazy stuff on camera. Then he has his goons pounce and he gets to play Strict Father restoring order. I wish we’d stop falling for it.

Incredible. The Trump administration calculated "tariff rates" by taking the US trade deficit with the respective country and dividing it by the country's exports to the US. And then the tariff rate of the US is often just set by cutting that made-up "tariff rate" in half.

Elon/Trump laid off more than 200,000 federal employees to fund tax cuts for themselves. It won’t be enough to offset the budget deficit their plan entails. the cuts are not determined by merit— they’re just firing the newest & youngest, gutting federal ability to attract talent

Elon recently defended DOGE's lawless behavior against accusations of right wing fanaticism with the following: "What fascist ever tried to make the government smaller?"

The implication is that he and Trump can't possibly be an authoritarians if they're trying to cut spending.

Only 6% of the US population has served in the military, but veterans comprise 30% of the federal workforce that Trump and Musk are eliminating. Two billionaires who never served are actively antagonizing people who did.

Elon Musk runs businesses that depend on government contracts, subsidies. He has no business making financial decisions on behalf of the federal government. It’s self dealing. It is the most direct form of corruption I’ve ever seen in the United States.

At this point the research is abnormally unambiguous— if you’re spending more than 30 minutes a day on social apps, they’re cooking your brain, making you less empathetic, spiking your anxiety and depression. Log off. Your life will improve.

Hegseth's bad behavior isn't a problem for Trumpers because his sins are seen as necessary corrections. So, maybe he's a reckless alcoholic whose own colleagues at Fox News condemn him as unfit for professional work. In the Trump worldview, this is a side effect of being tough and aggressive.

From Elon to guy who shot the CEO, people don’t doubt their internal narratives enough. Good guys and bad guys hardly exist and to the extent they do, theres little chance you or your enemies fit either category. In 10 years, it’s your current certainties you’ll find most embarrassing.

You can tell that the whole evangelical “I’m a big manly protector” schtick is fake because sex offenders infiltrated all their institutions and instead of protecting victims, they went with “if we hold these guys accountable the left wins.” Not manly. Not tough. Soft.
