We know that council tax is a bad way of funding adult #socialcare because it raises less money in areas with highest demand for publicly-funded care. But here’s another reason from @resfoundation - council tax puts more of a burden on low income families than wealthier ones. 1/3

Generative AI can play a role in improving care and support, but it must be implemented with people at the centre of decision-making.

This report identifies:
- Principles to inform policy
- Practical issues that need addressing
- Urgent action needed from Government and regulators

This year's Race Equality Week theme was #EveryActionCounts asking us to focus not on rhetoric but on real, meaningful change.

In a new blog, @clentonf.bsky.social asks:

How do we ensure that our actions are truly inclusive❓
How can we move from performative to sustainable action❓

Today I learned about a term called a 'glimmer.’ Which is the opposite of a trigger. Glimmers are those moments in your day that make you feel joy, happiness, peace, or gratitude. Once you train your brain to be on the lookout for glimmers, these tiny moments will appear more and more.

Thanks Think Local Act Personal for a thought provoking session on some tips to make coproduction more inclusive, diverse and equitable. If it’s not hard you aren’t doing it right. Great examples from the fab Lisa in Greenwich who are leading by example #NCASC

The way health and social care works can make it hard for people to live the life they want.

We work to create care and support that’s personalised to people’s unique lives.

We think you share our mission: better lives for more people, shaped by what matters to them. Together, let's make it real.

A personal view on the “long good bye”. A thread 🧵

1/ The Alzheimer's Society is rerunning the controversial "long goodbye" campaign, despite complaints and distress caused. The only change seems to be details about their dementia support services at the end.
