More thoughts on daggerheart and legend in the mist. My friend jokingly called "legend in the mist" "daggerheart 2e", and I can't help but think legend IS what daggerheart sells itself as. A truly narrative driven game with rules that explicitly serve the narrative. Gotta play more of both

finally tried #legendinthemist the other day. wildly different from the games I normally play, but fun!! we just played a one shot but I'd be curious to try it for a longer game, even just 4 sessions would change the vibe a lot I think...

The more I think about daggerheart the more I think I don't like it... a game that claims to be narrative without really pulling any weight to do so. I enjoyed the one session I've played as a player though so we shall see...

made characters in my friends daggerheart game today and it got me thinking how games like Draw Steel treat the rules as the final adjudicator, whereas a game like daggerheart treats the GM as the final adjudicator.
