Continuing my rant about Edinburgh airport public transport. I can buy a combined ticket for the train and tram from Aberdour to Edinburgh Airport for £11.80. But if I travel the other way, I have to buy two separate tickets - £7.90 for the tram and £7.80 for the train. £15.70! Why?!

I get so annoyed every time I take the Edinburgh tram from the airport to Edinburgh Gateway. £7.90 for three stops?! It costs 10p more than my rail ticket to Fife. And over £6 more than any journey on Croydon tramlink.

Went to an introduction to spinning class today (wool not bikes). My yarn is third from the left. Let’s call it rustic!

It's #MEAwarenessDay. A condition often dismissed as 'being tired' (or lazy), but in reality it's a complex condition that can affect every system in the body, needs careful management, and when severe can leave people unable to do basics that most ppl take for granted (eat, wash, go to the loo).
ME card with plain purple border, reading: I have myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), a multi-systemic condition causing profound, debilitating exhaustion. It can also cause pain, headaches, sensitivity to touch/sound/light, and affect memory, concentration, sleep, digestion, speech, and more. Symptom levels vary over time. Mental or physical activity can worsen symptoms, although the effect may be delayed by a day or two. Symptoms from doing too much can last a long time or even trigger a permanent deterioration, so I have to manage any activity very carefully. There is no known cure. Card with stickman chained to the sofa. Text: I have a condition which causes fatigue - debilitating exhaustion that can affect mobility, strength, memory, concentration, speech, digestion and more. Symptom levels vary a lot. Recovering from doing too much can take days or weeks. I may look fine even when I'm not. I may need to do things differently. Living with this is my normal. A sensory processing difficulties card, with plain blue border and a stickman backing off from incoming wavy lines. Text: Sensations most people find okay can be extremely painful, exhausting or overwhelming for me. I have difficulties with: □ sound □ sight □ touch □ taste □ smell □ other: How much I can deal with varies. I may need to do things differently. Please be patient. See the back of this card for more info. "To do or not to do? Pacing and activity decision chart." A flowchart with 4 boxes and appropriate arrows between them, ending with either "Let's do this" or "Best not. It may be okay to do this in emergencies or special occasions, but not for routine tasks." Box 1: "Given current symptoms, will I be able to complete the task. Box 2: Will it cause a significant increase in pain/fatigue/other symptoms?** Box 3: Do I have enough recharge time between it and when I next need to function?" Box 4: Can I make it more manageable by - splitting the task into smaller sections? - Using an adpatation or aid to make it easier? - Asking for help with challenging parts of the activity? - Having an exit strategy if it turns out to be too much?". Footnotes: A simplified version. This process varies between individuals. ** Activity often aggravates symptoms. It's not about avoiding symptoms, but trying to keep them managable. Trial and error is required to find this level, and it can change over time.
