Finally, I got to read this month's #rsgb RadCom, and what can I say... It's 2025, and they still publish letters to the editor from some who argue how only their favourite pastime is "real hamradio" and nothing else is 🙄 They surely know how to attract youth to #hamradio

Double success for today's contact with scouts in the UK!

22 kid questions asked and answered, and they were able to see Jonny Kim live on station via HamTV.

Thanks to SP5LOT for sharing this HamTV capture on YouTube:

I look forward to meeting fellow #hamradio fans at #rsgb convention over the weekend (although the plan is to mostly spend it at the #amsatuk 🛰 Colloquium). Do say hello if you see me.

In between working on the improved bandmap and cat control functions, I have started working on a brand new website for Cloudlog and wanted to include a bit about the history behind it.

Cloudlogs' new DX Cluster Band Map is now in the dev branch; this is what I always wanted it to be!

Outstanding job is clicking on a spot QSYs the radio, but I am happy with the progress so far

A couple of weeks back, I was planning my holidays in Iceland 🇮🇸, hoping to activate a few rare grids on #hamradio LEO #satellite. In the run-up to my them, I tried hard to leave nothing to chance: I had a spare coax, audio cables, diplexer, batteries... even got myself a brand new #arrowantenna 1/9🧵

Some 3000 Km (~2000 miles) later, down the 🇮🇸 Ring Road counterclockwise, and I've arrived in Reykjavik. I tried to activate all the grids along the way, but, frustratingly, a combination of bad weather during my stay (IP13)... 1/4 🧵

I had a very frustrating day trying to activate 🇮🇸 IP15 on #hamradio #satellite In my 1st attempt it turned out I couldn't hear anyone calling me because I was listening 10 KHz lower than my actual downlink. In my subsequent attempts, I couldn't hear any stations. 1/3 🧵

I've uploaded my yesterday's #hamradio #satellite activity from IP13 to #lotw Please let me know if you spot any missing.

This is the log for my yesterday's #hamradio #satellite activity from HP93. Please let me know if I've missed to log anyone. Shout out to @2m0sql.com , whose Portable Planner made this a much simpler experience than ever before.

Arrived safely at Heimaey Island, one of the Vestmannaeyjar Isles, 🇮🇸 HP93uk. Weather is rather poor, persistent drizzle currently making it impossible to operate #hamradio outdoors. 🤞it improves in time for tonight's RS-44 pass I'd tentatively announced earlier this week.
