Just looking at Paris next week, and a rare day off.. having just blazed through Hilary Mantel's A Place of Greater Safety, can anyone recommend a good revolution-focused museum or similar? Preferably not overcrowded, but I know, it's Paris (c'est la vie)

Currently 4 tracks in to demoing the next album (still a long way off) and we have 4/4, 7/4, 4/4 and 5/4 respectively. Tracks 2, 3 and 4 all also have random bars with an extra beat in. Not particularly doing the 'we're not prog' argument any good

Pleased to report that interviews / Q&As for us are starting to come in, from respectable outfits, which are clearly generated by ChatGPT.

The temptation to answer using the same method is pretty strong... were it not for the fact that AI comes up with utter garbage. Plus, I'm not that lazy.

This has always been clear: plant-based meat alternatives are better for the planet and, at least compared to red meat, better for your health. That this is not widely accepted is the product of meat industry disinfo, science illiteracy, and some very stupid journalists.

Plant-based meats have been viewed at times as ultraprocessed and possibly unhealthy. But some experts believe they deserve a second look.

Following on from this, I wrote this post below about Good Vibrations and even felt moved enough to create a tempo map for it. Free to read, if you're interested:

I heard Good Vibrations whilst out and about the other day and actually remarked out loud: 'Listen to how brilliant this is, and how absolutely bonkers. No one does it like this any more.' And indeed they don't, and won't. Sorry to see you go, Mr Wilson.

Just a reminder - this is happening in c. 22 minutes. Having been through my own ticketing odyssey this morning (CBeebies Prom), godspeed to all who venture forth.
Our two Barbican shows go on general sale tomorrow (Friday) at 10am. Based on the pre-sale we think they'll go pretty quickly - good luck everyone!

Thanks to everyone who bought tickets via the Barbican pre-sale this morning - it's not especially intuitive or clear, but pre-sale has now been closed as all tickets sold. Please try again in the general sale on Friday at 10am if you were unsuccessful

Hey look! We're playing the Barbican (twice) on Sat 1 November, with strings from the London Contemporary Orchestra. Mailing listers have a pre-sale link in their inboxes for tomorrow morning at 10am, but general sale is on Friday at 10am via the Barbican:

In conjunction with our Turkish promoters we've taken the regrettable decision to postpone our show in Istanbul until 16 October; because of that decision, our Athens show also needs to move to the same time, so will now be on 18 October.

Original tickets remain valid, or refunds are available.
