For those of you unfamiliar with
#MECFS thought some perspective might help.
I have #SevereME and I’m housebound, but in the grand scheme of things I’m not that bad.
I can sit up, eat, spend 15-30
mins with family. I’m actually closer to the moderate end.

Looking back over the past 5 years, I can trace my path with #MECFS by the debris field left behind.
First hobbies, then chores, my job, kid’s extracurriculars, visiting family, leaving the house, phone calls.
And still more and more holes appeared in the sinking vessel that is my body.

The preliminary sequence from the H5N1 human case in British Columbia has been posted and it is not good news. The virus potentially has a quasispecies at HA residue 226 (H3 numbering). This is bad news because we know that mutations at residue 226 can increase binding to human receptors. 1/
