I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.

If you're wondering whether you should promote your book or your latest publication now with all the chaos, the answer is yes. We need your words. We need to flood the channels with art and literature. So go for it, friends.

Our dear Marketing Director at Owl’s Nest Publishers always sends the best Christmas presents! This year it was branded sweatshirts! She loves and believes in our company, and it means so much to me.

My husband and I have a Christmas tradition of getting ourselves a nice whiskey or Scotch. This year we picked up the Offerman Lagavulin. Cracking it open tonight!

1/2 I went through an extremely traumatic situation beginning in late spring of this year that had recurring fires I had to put out for weeks/months following. I still don’t know if I’m done with it. To survive, I suppressed my emotions. But…

Today I reread articles I wrote in 2018 and in 2022. The difference was profound.

As I work on my first nonfiction manuscript and book proposal, I’m increasingly grateful I didn’t undertake this 10 years ago (even though I wanted to!). Time and practice increases knowledge, wisdom, and much more.

New puppies: good for mental health, bad for writing productivity

My hands are chewed and bruised. I’m leaping up every ten minutes. And if the phrase “No bite!” doesn’t accidentally make it into this manuscript, I’ll eat my socks. Like Lú. Who tries to eat my socks. Every day.
