In case you need a moment of fun, my son and I were clearing out old toy boxes from his closet and found this one for a kid’s metal detector. The “with beep” part cracked us up.

I found some crocuses blooming outside my workplace, and each batch had a bumblebee sleeping in one of them (zoom in to see). Some also had active bees covered in pollen.

A few things that made me smile this week: My son was setting the table for dinner and called me over to exclaim, “Look! Googly eyes!”

It's cold and snowy here, so Vegas has decided the best place to nap is squashed between the coffee table leg and a pile of books, using the laptop power adapter (which I presume is warm) as a pillow. She's been this way for hours now. 😸

Happy New Year! We had a small break in the fog / rain / snow today - enough to spot a mountain peak about the clouds and see the first bird of the new year - a raven flying overhead with a treasure it its beak.
