Asked about the head of Social Security resigning over Elon’s DOGE squad trying to get access to sensitive data — Trump immediately spins it into a lie that she was fired over unsubstantiated claims of massive amounts of fraud that have been resoundingly debunked.

It seems almost unavoidable at this point that we are headed for a deep, deep recession. Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.

What the actual *?! The White House has designated Mr. Musk’s office, the United States DOGE Service, as an entity protected from public records requests and most judicial intervention until at least 2034, by classifying its documents as presidential records.

This might be the most nakedly corrupt document I’ve seen on DOJ letterhead — and I wrote a history of Watergate!

Every morning before I check the news I mutter “what new fresh hell has Trump wrought today.” This is not ok and not making anything “great.” To those who say it will be fine, he knows what he’s doing….I hope you’re right but remember, sometimes something broken stays broken

If you’re upset about Michelle Obama’s decision not to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration, wait until I tell you about the time Donald Trump refused to accept the results of the election he lost, plotted a coup & incited an insurrection before deciding not to attend Joe Biden’s.

Also @hcrichardson.bsky.social Under the Biden administration, the nation has also had the lowest average unemployment rate of any administration in 50 years, ending at 4.1%.

Sounds pretty great to me.

From @hcrichardson.bsky.social The nation added 256,000 new jobs in December, a number significantly higher than economists expected. That brings the total number of jobs created under Biden to 16.6 million and makes Biden’s the only administration in history to have created jobs every month.
