Instead of Canada becoming the 51st state, the US should consider becoming an 11th province.

Americans would get universal healthcare, parental leave, sensible gun control and fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy.

I invite any reporter to ask Trump to explain how the debt ceiling works.

I'm serious.

Just ask him to explain it to the people.

I bet you he can't.

GOP Rep. McCormick: “Last time I checked, Elon Musk doesn’t have a vote in Congress. Now, he has influence and he’ll put pressure on us to do whatever he thinks is the right thing is for him, but I have 760,000 people who voted for me to do the right thing for them.”

What happened with this latest bill is exactly what happened with the border bill. Shit is exhausting. They don’t want to govern. They don’t care about anything except power, money and fame.

Billionaire Bezos dined w Trump & the richest man on Earth, President Elon Musk.

This is a lay up for Democrats. You need to rinse, repeat, & hammer the message of how Republicans represent the 1% who are stealing the country from the rest of us.

Don't use kleptocracy or oligarchy. Keep it simple.

Just so we’re clear what just happened:

Republicans tore apart their funding agreement with Democrats after Elon Musk told them to.

They created a new bill that defunded child cancer research.

And then they failed to pass that bill too.

Literally this
The promise of the internet was that the dissemination of primary source material would create a high-info, high-trust society.

Instead, we've regressed and become a society that relies more heavily on folklore.

I wrote a long, high-concept piece about this. 1/10 www.thebulwark.com/p/american-f...
American Folklore
The internet was supposed to spread information and elevate our understanding of the world. Instead it turned us into a primitive people, reliant on folk stories.
