If there's one thing the mainstream news media love to overlook, it's the impact of the mainstream news media. The petite Tea Party in all its elite-backed astroturfiness was hailed like a sacred comet; the historically huge No Kings was played down by the NY Times, among other publications.

The military takeover of Washington is not a “distraction” from Epstein. It’s a military takeover of Washington, which is an even bigger deal, and those of us who kill brain cells reporting on this stuff knows it’s been an explicit goal since before the election.

Andry José Hernández Romero, I remember you, even if I do not know how to articulate my horror, rage, & sorrow at your treatment by my government.

No one has heard from you in 98 days.

As vigil, I’m posting a photo (or video) of you every day until you are returned from El Salvador.

From the last generation (born in 1947) to actually fight for your one generation of women who had rights, I am telling you to FIGHT in the names of those women who lived and died so you could have rights to pass on to your progeny…
Born in 1975, I represent the one generation of women who had rights.

I’m fighting for my daughters and granddaughters.

Fuck this shit.

This, and ALSO we need to rigorously distinguish between rendition to a third country and deportation.
Seems like it should be a bigger deal that Trump planned to send migrants to Libya, where the UN found migrants were literally enslaved — and worse. “Hell on earth for migrants” apnews.com/article/liby...

Cory Booker is now in his *third hour* on the Senate floor—still speaking with heart, fire, and fierce conviction.
He’s not just holding the floor—he’s holding the line for democracy.
This is what moral courage looks like.
Keep going, Senator.
We see you.
We stand with you.✊🏽💙

Why are there no articles that begin, “Fascism has a long history of inspiring massacres and war crimes. In this time of overt corruption and unconstitutionality, the Republicans should go fuck themselves.”
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

“Defeat has a long history of inspiring honest reflection in politics. In this time of frustration and anxiety for Democrats, they should give it a try,” the editorial board writes.
Opinion | The Democrats Are in Denial About 2024
Party leaders have embraced convenient excuses. This perilous political moment requires more self-reflection and honesty.
