Tiny light, keep on shining, hold back the dark. Lives in Sicily with an embarrassing number of cats. Will post occasional pictures of cats, Sicily and food. Was mostly offline, then kittens arrived.
This is unacceptable Sicily! If I wanted terrible weather I would have stayed in the UK.

All 4 girls sterilised Thug still cross with me. Vet and I have hatched a plan to sterilise the neighbour's cat that has moved in with me because they have left for the winter. She cuddles the kettle.

Considering they haven't eaten since 7am, have had a 15 minute car ride and now have all the smells in the vet they are being very calm about it.

Chopping (and sawing) wood is not as romantic as I imagined. I do now have vague muscles. Also my isolated hill top feels like Piccadilly Circus atm with people picking the olives.

Vet wont sterilise the kittens before they are 6 months, in a week. Just sent him this photo "ok message me tomorrow and we'll sort out a tine" Thug's face!

Every couple of weeks when I'm feeling brave I investigate a bit more of the scary wiring in the house. Im sure having electrical wiring (and TV coax cable?) running in the guttering where water goes is FINE. #electrician #electric #shock

Time to get the bread / pizza oven cleared out, then test fire. I bought a laser thermometer on the advice of my old village pizza guy. 390-400 degrees C for pizza, 170-300 for bread. I will report back in a few days.

Im at the top in that cluster of buildings that are all ruins apart from my house. The olive grove is tge land outlined in brown to the left, Ive also bought the land outlined in green to the right. I don't want all this land but the only way I could get tiny bit behind house was to do this.
