From Trump's new Gold Standard Science executive order, an error on the scale of the day 1 EO definition of sex.

the French are having so much fun being anti-American again
French Senator Claude Malhuret:

"Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

The aI ScieNTist - grifters gonna grift 🙃
Taylorism is a management philosophy based on using scientific optimization to maximize labor productivity and economic efficiency.

Here's the result of making the false Taylorist assumption that the output of scientific research is scientific papers—the more, faster, and cheaper, the better.

Imagine replacing your own words with some kind high-dimensional average of overwritten fanfic — and thinking that's a good thing.

"Curiosity piqued"? No shit. Cut.

Where did this bullshit about "whispered secrets" come from? Was that the author's intent? Even if so, what a purple way to say it.

obviously it was pea-hacking
No-one has ever been able to replicate Gregor Mendel's observations of pea plants. They're a little "too perfect", lacking even random statistical noise that would have been expected from small sample sizes.

The big question: was it scientific fraud?
