I'm not arguing this is a vertical power dynamic, as if queer communities should favor us over other queer people instead, of course I don't think that. But ostracism is a real intra-community problem and it often begins with micro-aggression.

When I talk to other hetero trans women, I hear very similar stories here. It's not inevitable—I've known many queer and trans people who are friends, family, who are community, and yes that's including many lesbians of all kinds!—but there is a recurring theme here on the whole.
