I know that a lot of people are feeling demoralized and pretty cynical about politicians. Please remember there have ALWAYS been corrupt, self-serving politicians but there have also always been people of integrity. Kind, compassionate people who serve because their sanity is needed in the fight.

OK - I think one of the most poisonous things that the MAGA movement has done is to totally deny the existence of altruism. As evidenced by quotes like "What was in it for them", "childless cat ladies", and countless other statements, the far right has managed to make selfishness look like the norm.

If you’ve already started calling it the Gulf of America instead of the Gulf of Mexico, you should have no trouble with someone’s preferred name and pronouns.
