My family learned of the Brown U active shooter situation from Reddit. After hearing sirens and seeing cops fly down our street they turned to Reddit to see what the commotion was. I then broke it to my friend chat. Who then confirmed via another who got the Brown U alert. Zero city notification.

Ending the SAVE student loan program and forcing 8 million people into repayment will juice the affordability crisis even further. Borrowers told me they will have to cut their budgets, find new side gigs, and don't get what the public policy point of this is.

I lived close to the Boston marathon route & my work was on Boylston St when the bombing happened. That was my last experience with sheltering in place. Our office was in the crime scene area off limits for days. Now I’m in Providence, “sheltering in place” because of the tragedy at Brown. So awful.

Spent over 5 hours stuck in traffic for a work trip to Boston & back today. Over 3 hours lost productivity bevause MA & RI aren’t investing enough in transit. Can’t wait to vote out RI Gov @govdanmckee.bsky.social who’s cut rather than expand transit in RI.
