Poverty doesn’t have to exist.

Poverty is a set of conditions. We can create an America where poverty conditions don’t exist.

Everyone can have housing, healthcare, education, and a good life.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

Infinity Nikki servers go down, and everyone in my family decides it's time to talk about the hard thing we've suppressed for a long time.

I think playing Infinity Nikki is truly keeping me going between the horrors of the county, state, and federal political shitshows and the continued emergencies in my personal life.

You know how a lot of meetings can be emails? Well, I sent email communications about a change. No one fucking read it. Should have been a meeting, I guess.

Illinois and Minnesota are really out here making it hard to stay in Iowa. Are they perfect? Nah. But Iowa politics are so bad and dangerous.
As governor of Illinois, I’ve made it my mission to make our state the best to call home including for our LGBTQ+ community.

No matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves dignity and equality.

Hate has no home here.

As much as I read, and as much as I definetly stress bought a shit ton of non-fiction books, I feel like too many people I'm politically aligned with are relying too much on book clubs in this moment.

Had therapy today. On top of everything on the national stage that's happening, I have a lot of personal things going on. Remember to check how your nervous system is reacting to everything every once in a while.

I don't think I'm happy tiktok is back. I was very sad to lose it, but the HOW of how everything has gone down just really really shows how much all of this is bullshit.

Seen a few times in replies today: "Ugh this place should get rid of the porn" & not only does this site have filters so you never have to see any of it, we're not talking bots (bad) but actual people doing a job (good) & they were here first & are generally better ppl than you. So shut the fuck up.

BTW I’m VERY upset about the “TikTok ban” not because of the app (though it’s sad because I never would have met yall otherwise) but for what it means for me and other Americans when it comes to future censorship. We’re on track for a head on collision for some very, very bad times ahead.
