How it started versus how it's going.
My air cast is off. Yeah. Another 4 weeks for the wrist.
I'm too damn old to be climbing ladders. Lost my balance. Broken wrist and small cracked bone in the foot.
6 week recovery. But, it could have been a lot worse.
Kudos to Strathmore Hospital for their expert and caring staff.

Surely, her advisors have told her there is no legal way of separating? That this referendum is a waste of time and money? That the majority of Albertans don't want to separate?

How good do we have it in Canada? The majority of us cannot name one member of the Canadian Supreme Court. We know nothing about them. With the exception of one of them getting drunk at at campsite, there is no drama.

Well, I'm home from my temp job at the polling station in a small rural town north of my home. It was a privilege to be part of the process. But, I have to admit, counting the ballots in an overwhelmingly conservative riding was a tad depressing for me. All good, though, democracy at work.

I survived 4 days of advanced voting. 10,000 voters approximately, through
our little Chestermere station. I can assure you,no chance of hacking. Not a computer on site. Everything was manual. My writing hand and my back are toast. I'll be in a little town north of me on election day. Love it all.

So, I'm on a break from my temp job as a poll supervisor at the advanced polls. It's been an exhausting couple of days so far. It's great to see the massive turnout. Thank your poll worker, even if you have a long wait!

Dark Humour. I read obituaries. For me, it's not morbid. I just like to read about some of the varied lives ordinary people lived. Like the fact that every Italian grandfather grew the best tomatoes. There's more, but I'll give it some thought.

I still can't believe that mainstream and independent media in the United States are still having to explain how tariffs work like they are talking to five year olds.

Reality. PP is claiming to reduce income taxes by 15%. Read the fine print people. It's 15% off the lowest bracket. After math, the"real" cut is only 2.5%. And don't forget he will make offsetting cuts to social programs.

So, let me get this straight. Danielle Smith wants the US to hold back on tariffs during the election cycle because she thinks not doing so will hurt the Conservatives? Does she understand she's broadcasting her complete lack of faith in PP being able to form a coherent policy proposal?
