So actually linguistically what’s happening when Zelensky called that dudes suit a costume is actually really cool because in Ukrainian the word for suit is костюм which is pronounced kostyum - i.e. costume. So it’s a language transfer that happened there that was unintentionally hilarious.

I think about this passage a lot. Especially given today’s current climate. Those who are unaffected by what’s to come are doing normal things while the rest of us are throwing up dull truths onto our kitchen tables. Feeling it in our spines every time we stand. We are not the same and I am furious.
