Amazing how Elon Musk and the Kremlin always end up singing from the same hymn sheet: ‘Abolish the EU!’ Of course they want the world’s biggest democratic bloc broken up — strong, united Europe is terrible news for authoritarians and tech-bro emperors.

Not the first to make this point. But there is a tyrant in charge of another country who is accused of being heavily linked to a paedophile sex ring - and supposed ‘patriots’ in this country are passionately willing him to take down our national broadcaster. Madness.

I’m so sad about the state of our world. I’m devastated for the Jewish community and for Manchester. We are a diverse city where people of different faiths co-exist peacefully together. Hate will never divide us. Sending love and solidarity to my Jewish friends and to the community . I’m so sorry.

Uk joins Canada and Australia in recognising Palestinian Statehood.

It's long overdue but to be welcomed.
The UK has joined Canada and Australia in formally recognising Palestinian statehood.

PM Keir Starmer said the decision is intended to “revive the hope of peace” through a two-state solution.

Canada and Australia were the first G7 nations to make the announcement earlier today.

Far right protest today:
29 - police officers injured
9 - protestors arrested

Proscribed group protests:
0 - police officers injured
1,600 - protestors arrested

We have Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper to thank for this absurd anomaly

The ‘Raise the Flags’ campaign isn’t harmless patriotism — it’s fronted by Andy Saxon, a convicted violent racist with deep ties to the EDL & Britain First. Don’t let the far right wrap hate in bunting. I remember The National Front doing similar in the 1970’s

Fantasy flights, camps on barracks, and binning human rights law. He’s not solving migration — he’s stoking fear to stay relevant. Same old Nigel, selling anger because he’s got no real answers.
On Tuesday Nigel Farage will publish his proposals for mass deportations, Prison camps, leaving the European Convention on Human Rights & scrapping the Human Rights Act, quitting the Refugee Convention and the UN Convention against Torture - is that a country we want?

This is outstanding. God knows what Labour is doing: legitimising the racism that'll be its undoing, losing the coalition which put it in office, trying to secure voters who will never support it, digging its own moral grave.

The threat to our society is not from asylum seekers in small boats. It’s from politicians and media cynically whipping up fear and prejudice, labelling them all as criminals, inciting hatred against people for where and what they’ve fled from.
It must stop. For all our sakes. It’s deeply sinister.
